Baseball in America

Now that I'm finally back in the USA, I'm trying to soak up as much culture as I can, in pretty much any form. Once my crazy hectic summer schedule ended, I started going to baseball games. I was pretty excited to make it to three new (to me) ballparks in less than three weeks. Fenway to check out the Red Sox, Camden Yards to watch the Orioles and Nationals Park to watch the Nationals. I still need to catch a game at the new Target Field. It looks beautiful and the Twins are my team.

Here are some pictures from the games. I'm tried uploading this post from the new Blogger app for the iPhone. Everything looked ok on the phone, and in the internet browser on the phone, but when I look at posts on my netbook, the pictures look cropped off I'll have to read my posts on a full sized computer and see if they turn out ok. Sigh.

(My first baseball game back in America. My old friend Kim and I, reunited after over 4 years, and in a very fitting way. With amazing seats to a Red Sox game at Fenway Park.)

(This is the view from our seats: Row 3, between home plate and the visitors dugout.)

(When the people in front of us left, we moved down to the FRONT ROW! Baseball should always be experienced this way. Especially in Fenway.)

(I took this picture on field at a Nat's game last week. I'll tell the story about how that happened soon.)

(National's Park. A great addition to DC. Now if the team could just win a game!)

(Rain delay at Nat's Park. Interesting story about the park. It's almost totally all outside with nowhere to hide when there is blowing rain. Design fail.)

(Jenny and I took a road trip one Sunday to see the Oriole's play at Camden Yards. It's a beautiful park, and we were basically the only people there!)
